When preparing a portfolio or an exhibition print we make sure that every step of the process is carried with the upmost care and attention to detail. Museum standards are not just about the end print they include the processes which make up the final product. Our perspective is the museum perspective. A typical exhibition print project starts with a careful preparation of originals, negatives or prints. These we scan at high resolution using state of the art drum scanning technology. From the scan stage we bring the digital file into our digital dark room environments. Here we work together with the artist in making the necessary adjustments to the image, working with such parameters as colour, contrast, density and tonal range. When the interpretation is complete we make a proof print and discuss with the artist any further requirements before getting approval for the final print. Every step of the way the original file as well as the final interpretation is archived for future use.
